Political Director, Washington Gun Rights
Alex Dorr is a seasoned political strategist and grassroots leader dedicated to defending the Second Amendment across America. As Political Director for Washington Gun Rights, Alex spearheads the organization’s legislative, digital, and mobilization programs that have become the backbone of the gun rights movement in Washington State.
Under his leadership, Washington Gun Rights members have successfully defeated dozens of gun control bills pushed by Governor Jay Inslee and Attorney General Bob Ferguson — including bans on bulk ammo purchases, liability insurance mandates for gun owners, and the expansion of so-called “Gun Free Zones.” Alex’s efforts have helped mobilize tens of thousands of grassroots activists, turning ordinary gun owners into one of the most powerful political forces in Olympia.
Working alongside his brother, Aaron Dorr, Alex plays a key role in coordinating legislative, legal, and election strategies for affiliated state-level organizations across the country. His expertise spans grassroots organizing, digital fundraising, political copywriting, and hard-hitting election programs that hold anti-gun politicians accountable at the ballot box.
Before taking the reins in Washington, Alex played an instrumental role in the passage of Constitutional Carry in Georgia, and has assisted in legislative victories and defensive fights in Wyoming, Missouri, Iowa, Indiana, and Illinois.
Alex Dorr continues to fight daily to ensure that Washington gun owners never bow to radical gun control politicians and that the right to keep and bear arms remains absolute.
