H.R. 7599 and S. 889 are a dream come true for Democrats. That’s because they:
- Allow us to be disarmed without being charged or convicted of a crime.
- Lets judges do this in secret (ex-parte) court hearings we’ll never know about.
- Uses the recent purchase of a gun or ammo as ‘evidence’ that we’re dangerous.
- Contains an almost automated renewal process, resulting in a de facto lifetime ban.
- Lets the government seize all our firearms, not just AR-15s or ‘scary’ looking guns.
- Allows bitter ex-spouses, bitter co-workers, and angry neighbors to ‘Red Flag’ us.
These bills shred America’s due process rights. If we ever got our guns back, it would be after spending years in court and a fortune in legal fees, even though we never committed a crime.
