Sane people like to spend July doing things outdoors, hitting up their neighbor’s BBQ, and maybe squeezing in a family vacation.
But that’s not the case for today’s Democrats in Congress.
While we are trying to live our lives, they are focused on gaining as much ground as possible on the “Federal Assault Weapons Ban” — with the goal of passage next Congress.
Just four days ago, the Democrats added four more cosponsors to the ‘Assault Weapons Ban’ putting the number of cosponsors at 192!
That means they are just 26 votes short of passage.
TELL CONGRESS TO VOTE NO ON H.R. 3115!
While we already have a version of this law on the books here in Washington State — something that we’re challenging in court — H.R. 3115 would extend this tyranny nationwide!
H.R. 3115 is designed to functionally disarm the American people, leaving us with hunting rifles and pump action shotguns.
The bill would:
>>> Make it a felony to buy an AR-15 or any one of over 100 similar firearms that are line-itemed in the bill.
>>> Make it a felony to buy a magazine that holds over 15 rounds of ammunition.
>>> Make it a felony to own a forced reset trigger or any other device that speeds up the rate of fire on any firearm.
>>> Make it a felony to own even the parts needed to build an AR-15, like frames and receivers.
Violate this tyrannical bill, and you could spend up to FIVE YEARS in federal prison!
Fortunately, H.R. 3115 hasn’t become law.
Yet.
But with 192 cosponsors already on board, Democrats are laying the groundwork to ram this bill through Congress the next time they have the votes.
That’s why gun owners cannot afford to “wait and see.”
If we sit back and assume someone else will stop this bill, the Democrats will continue to build support for it, and if they take the House in November, this will pass early next year!
