I’ve got bad news out of Olympia.
Bob Ferguson’s SB-5098 has been referred to the House Civil Rights & Judiciary Committee — and that means a hearing could be scheduled at any moment.
This is the most dangerous phase of the process.
Once a bad bill clears committee, momentum builds fast and leadership starts lining up votes behind closed doors.
That’s why we need immediate pressure on every member of this committee — right now.
>>> TELL THE COMMITTEE TO VOTE NO ON SB-5098! <<<
As a reminder, SB-5098 would massively expand deadly “Gun Free Zones” across Washington State, banning law-abiding gun owners from carrying in places we take our families every day:
👉 Parks and beaches
👉 Playgrounds and community centers
👉 Fairs and public events
👉 Virtually all state and local government property
In other words, the places that your average Washingtonian takes his/her children for an afternoon or for the weekend would all be off-limits if you’re armed.
The violent criminals terrorizing our cities would simply ignore the law, like they ignore the rest of our gun control laws.
Ferguson and Olympia Democrats know this. They just don’t care.
Now that SB-5098 is sitting in the House Civil Rights & Judiciary Committee, this is where grassroots pressure can still stop it cold, just like we did last year.
>>> TELL THE COMMITTEE TO VOTE NO ON SB-5098! <<<
This sends a pre-written email directly to every committee member, demanding they block SB-5098 and refuse to advance it.
Olympia Democrats are hoping this moves quietly.
We’re not going to give them that luxury.
Fire off your email now — then forward this alert to every gun owner you know and tell them to do the same.
More updates coming fast.
