Just days after gun owners forced Olympia Democrats to kill HB-1152, they are already pivoting to another dangerous gun control bill designed to disarm us.
This time, they are advancing House Bill 1504.
HB-1504 is a civil liability insurance mandate that would make it illegal to own a firearm in Washington State unless you purchase government-approved insurance coverage.
The problem is that insurance doesn’t exist.
In fact, it is illegal to sell this type of insurance in Washington. Ferguson knows this. That’s why he is pushing this bill — it would make it impossible for us to buy guns!

HB-1504 would impose sweeping new restrictions designed to eliminate lawful gun ownership in Washington State.
Specifically, this bill would require gun owners to obtain $1,000,000 in civil liability insurance simply to own a firearm.
But it’s not even just one insurance policy.
If you own 25 firearms or more (like I do), HB-1504 would require you to get individual insurance policies on every single firearm. 25 separate policies!
This is an all-out war on law abiding gun owners.
Violent felony criminals will not comply with this law. They will not purchase insurance, and they will not follow the law.
But law abiding gun owners like us would be trapped in an impossible system designed to strip away our rights.
Bob Ferguson and anti-gun lawmakers know exactly what they are doing. They know they cannot confiscate firearms outright, so instead, they are trying to make legal ownership impossible through impossible mandates and bureaucratic traps.
We cannot allow that to happen.
